To celebrate Mother’s Day afternoon tea was a must, but where to go?
I was looking for somewhere with a homely feel, a place where everyone knows your name…and they’re always glad you came.
The Doll’s House on Harrow-on-the-Hill served up everything you would want from an afternoon tea; finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, Victoria sponge cake, gooey chocolate cupcakes, macaroons and a sprinkling of fruit.
The service is brilliant, unfortunately they had a powercut and couldn’t offer hot drinks, a bit of a shame but their elderflower fizz quickly made up for it. The staff there are so lovely and happy to help with anything you may need.
These were lip-smackingly good!
I love the mismatch floral crockery and Cath Kidston-esque tableware.
The tea room is decorated with retro looking posters and signs. If you like the decor then you are in luck, you can buy cake stands, mugs, posters and gifts to take away.
What is your favourite tea room?
