I’m not happy unless I have something to look forward to so I am always planning my next travel adventure.

In between the big exotic holidays it’s good to go somewhere nearby in the UK just to get away from the city madness.

Bournemouth is my home away from home….I have been visiting Bournemouth since I was young and have so many fond memories – from climbing trees with my sister, eating copious amounts of fish and chips with my family, partying till the wee hours and walking home along the beach with my friends, I will never stop going back.

You would be surprised how great the beach is, most beaches in the UK are pebble but the Bournemouth beach has really soft and clean sand.

If you are bored of just relaxing it is really runner friendly, and they have also recently installed ‘training buddies’ along the promenade for an added workout…So if you are planning on getting away from the city for a weekend, head down to Bournemouth. Here are a few recommendations:

1. Chez Fred – the best fish and chips in town and be sure to check out the celeb customers

2. Koh Thai – this classy restaurant has a traditional Thai menu with a modern twist

3. Aruba – a surf themed bar with delicious cocktails
