As you may already know I am a big fan of travelling, but this doesn’t just cover long exotic trips abroad it can be anything from a mini trip to somewhere in Europe or even a weekend break somewhere quaint in the UK.
It is important to take some time out from the London buzz and the UK is full of amazing hotels and cute villages.
I was treated to a stay at the gorgeous Brockencote Hall, a Luxury Victorian country house hotel near the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, for my birthday.
The decor is beautiful, so traditional with deep lilac and neutral grey and beige tones. It has such a homely feel to it that I had to remind myself to stop walking through the lobby in my fluffy slippers and pyjamas!
I was excited to find out our room was named ‘Mulberry’, secretly hoping I would find a room full of designer handbags, unfortunately this was not the case, lovely room nonetheless.
The food was excellent, as you can see below when the menu states ‘fish and chips’ it isn’t your average cod plonked on a plate next to a few sorry looking chips, oh no…
We ate the main meal in the newly refurbished Chaddesley Restaurant which holds three very well deserved AA Rosettes. We felt as though we were in an episode of Masterchef. We ordered three courses, but were presented with about ten, every meal has an amuse bouche or a pre-dessert.
Even the bread rolls were delicious and home-made.
Mmm dessert? Oh no this is just the pre-dessert!
THIS is the dessert. If you like chocolate you’ll be dreaming of this weeks later.
Where is your favourite UK getaway?
